About Safety 2.0 Consulting
Meet Ajit Pendse

I bring over 25 years of experience in the oil & gas and chemical industry, including more than two decades with ExxonMobil, a recognized safety leader. I held leadership positions across research, product development, technical support, manufacturing, laboratory operations, data analytics, and safety. This breadth of experience gives me a clear understanding of how different parts of a complex organization connect and influence overall safety performance.
While industry injury rates have generally improved over the years, similar progress has not been seen in reducing Significant Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs). This gap underscores the need to look beyond traditional compliance and incident-prevention measures. Throughout my career, I have seen the power of applying Systems Thinking and Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) to address underlying causes and build resilient systems that protect people from serious harm.
With Safety 2.0 Consulting, I bring this experience and philosophy to help organizations uncover hidden vulnerabilities, strengthen adaptive capacity, and drive meaningful, lasting change.
